Previously served as a visiting surgeon at the University of Wales College of Medicine and St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London, UK. From September 2001 to December 2005, pursued a Doctor of Medicine degree in Surgery at the School of Medicine, Cardiff University, UK, and obtained a PhD in Clinical Medicine from the UK in February 2006. Also studied at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai, China, earning a Medical Management Diploma. Currently serves as a Standing Committee Member of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association's Thoracic Surgery Branch, a Member of the Lung Cancer Professional Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, Vice Chairman of the Beijing Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Society, a Review Expert for the National Science and Technology Awards, a Review Expert for Major Talent Introduction Projects of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, a Review Expert for the "863 National Project," a Member of the British Association of Surgical Oncology, a Senior Honorary Professor at the School of Medicine, Cardiff University, UK, and a Visiting Researcher at the Clinical Oncology Research Laboratory of Surgery. Also serves as an Editorial Board Member of the Chinese Journal of Lung Cancer, and a Special Invited Editorial Board Member of the Chinese Medical Journal, Chinese Journal of Surgery, and Chinese Journal of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases.
Over more than 30 years of clinical practice, has accumulated extensive clinical experience, with profound expertise particularly in the comprehensive treatment of lung cancer, esophageal cancer, and mediastinal tumors, primarily through surgical approaches. Holds a notable reputation in the field of thoracic oncology in China and is recognized as a renowned expert in thoracic surgery. Currently leads national-level satellite continuing education programs on television and research projects such as tumor angiogenesis funded by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission. Has obtained research invention patents and maintains close collaboration and exchange with the renowned Department of Surgical Oncology at Cardiff University in the UK, jointly addressing many challenging issues in clinical research. Currently participates in the national "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" key support project on comprehensive treatment of lung cancer and the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission-funded research on surgical grading systems for surgeons. Has supervised one postdoctoral fellow, three doctoral students, four master's students, and one academic leader from other provinces and cities.
