**Representative Achievements**
1. **Randomized controlled trial of laparoscopic surgery after chemotherapy for gastric cancer**: This is the first global randomized controlled trial in this field, demonstrating that for patients with advanced gastric cancer after neoadjuvant therapy, laparoscopic surgery can effectively reduce postoperative pain, lower postoperative complications by 26% (20% vs. 46%), and improve tolerance to adjuvant chemotherapy. 2. **Development of a computer vision-based surgical quality assessment tool**: Using laparoscopic gastric cancer surgery as an entry point, first developed a subjective assessment tool for laparoscopic gastric cancer surgical quality and a tool for annotating surgical phases and events in gastric cancer surgery. Initially established a subjective assessment dataset for laparoscopic gastric cancer surgical quality. Based on this work, conducted preliminary exploration of computer-based assessment methods for laparoscopic gastric cancer surgical quality. Has mastered multiple methods for video feature extraction and temporal model design, proposed partitioning methods based on hard sample mining and reinforcement learning methods, and designed an unsupervised segmentation method for surgical instruments and an objective surgical quality assessment model based on the surgical field. Early experimental results have demonstrated the promising potential of this approach, and have been invited multiple times for oral presentations at top academic conferences in computer vision. 3. **First-line study of PD-1/CTLA-4 bispecific antibody combined with chemotherapy for advanced gastric cancer**: This study utilized the domestically developed innovative drug cadonilimab to conduct the first international clinical study of PD-1/CTLA-4 bispecific antibody combined with chemotherapy as first-line treatment for advanced gastric cancer. It demonstrated that this regimen has good safety and efficacy, significantly prolonging patient survival. The publication of the study results provided strong support for the approval of cadonilimab as a first-line treatment indication for advanced gastric cancer. (*Nature Medicine*, 2024)
