Medical Career: Doctoral supervisor, engaged in spinal surgery for over 30 years. Visiting scholar for one year at the Twin Cities Spine Center, University of Minnesota, USA. After graduating from the First Military Medical University in 1984, remained at the university to work, serving as physician, teaching assistant, attending doctor, lecturer, associate professor, deputy chief physician, professor, and chief physician in the Department of Spinal and Bone Diseases at Nanfang Hospital. Served as Deputy Director and Director of the Department of Spinal and Bone Diseases. Possesses a solid theoretical foundation and superb surgical skills, and is a renowned orthopedic expert in the field of spinal surgery in China. In 2009, was honored as a National Model Military Demobilized Cadre and received an audience with Party and state leaders Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao at the Great Hall of the People. In 2008, was awarded the Guangdong Provincial Advanced Individual in Disaster Relief; in 2008, received a Special Merit Citation for Disaster Relief from Southern Medical University; in 2001, received a Third-Class Merit Citation; in 1997, received a Third-Class Merit Citation. Received one "Tenth Five-Year Plan" Major Military Scientific and Technological Achievement Award. In 2008, was named "Guangdong Provincial Advanced Individual in Earthquake Relief," and in 2009, "National Model Military Demobilized Cadre." Academic Appointments: Currently serves as Chairman of the Spinal Surgery Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association, Vice Chairman of the Orthopedic Standardization and Core Capacity Building Committee for County-Level Hospitals in Guangdong Province, Vice Chairman of the Orthopedic Management Branch of the Guangdong Medical Industry Association, Standing Committee Member of the SICOT China Spinal Surgery Society, Member of the Spinal Surgery Group of the Orthopedic Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and Member of the Orthopedic Surgeon Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association.
