**Introduction:**
Wei Kuanhai, MD, PhD, Associate Chief Physician. He has extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of limb bone and joint injuries, sports injuries, and severe limb trauma. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder and elbow joint injuries and diseases, as well as sports injuries. He currently serves as a member of the Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Collaborative Group of the Chinese Medical Association, a member of the Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Group of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, a member of the Orthopedics Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, Deputy Head of the Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Group of the Guangdong Medical Association, Deputy Head of the Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Group of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, Head of the Upper Limb Group of the Guangdong Primary Medical Association, and Corresponding Editorial Board Member of the *Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma*. He has led two projects funded by the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation, participated in eight national, provincial, and ministerial-level research projects, published over 40 academic papers, authored one monograph, co-authored five monographs, received one first prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, and four third prizes of military and Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards.
**Medical Career:**
Dr. Wei holds a PhD in Orthopedic Surgery. He enrolled in the Clinical Medicine program at the First Military Medical University in 1992 and obtained his PhD from the same university in 2002, receiving the first prize of the "Outstanding Graduate of Southern Guangdong" for his excellent performance. After joining the faculty, he served as Chief Resident, Attending Physician, and Associate Chief Physician in the Department of Orthopedic Trauma at Nanfang Hospital. He also studied at the Prince of Wales Hospital of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, gaining extensive theoretical knowledge and clinical experience in orthopedics.
**Research:**
He has published over 40 papers, authored one monograph, and co-authored five monographs. He has led one project funded by the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation and one project under the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Plan. As a key member, he has participated in 12 research projects, including key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and major special projects of the National "863" Program. Major awards include the First Prize of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Science and Technology Award in 2005, the First Prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award in 2007, and six other military and provincial/ministerial-level awards. He holds two utility model patents.
