He has long been engaged in clinical and scientific research on digestive diseases and digestive endoscopy diagnosis and treatment, specializing in endoscopic minimally invasive treatment of gastrointestinal lesions, with extensive clinical experience in endoscopic minimally invasive resection of complex and difficult gastrointestinal lesions. He pioneered the endoscopic reverse mucosal resection (REMR) technique, which can resect laterally spreading tumors in the extremely low rectum while preserving the anus perfectly. This achievement won the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. He has led over 20 national and provincial-level scientific research projects, with total research funding exceeding 70 million RMB. He has published more than 300 papers, including over 100 SCI-indexed papers, and has obtained 8 national invention patents. As the first completer, he won one first prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and six other military and provincial-level awards. Leading his team, he independently developed the "Smartphone Capsule Gastroscopy System," the world's first fully intelligent capsule gastroscopy imaging system that does not require a host and is suitable for home use. This project won the highest award at the First China University Science and Technology Achievement Fair and was successfully selected as an outstanding project in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's "Artificial Intelligence Medical Device Innovation Task Unveiling and Leading" initiative.
