Tang Tao, Associate Chief Physician Primarily engaged in the treatment of various types of burn wounds, burn shock, scar contracture deformities, post-burn myositis ossificans, and acute and chronic wounds. He performs over 200 major surgeries (Grade III and IV) annually, the majority of which involve severe burns and complex scar contracture deformities. He has profound expertise in minimally invasive and precise treatment of burn wounds, reconstruction of complex scar contractures, and flap therapy for complicated wounds. Main research directions: Basic and clinical research on tissue-engineered skin, basic and clinical research on precise minimally invasive treatment for wound repair, clinical research on post-burn pain and optimization of pain management, and basic research on key targets of organ injury in post-burn sepsis. He currently serves as a member of the Basic Research and Clinical Translation Professional Group of the Burn Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, a standing committee member of the Medical Aesthetics Professional Committee of the China Maternal and Child Health Association, and a member of the Shanghai Burn and Wound Repair Physicians Association.
