Zheng Jianji, Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, Director of the Department of Anesthesiology
With over 30 years of experience in clinical practice, teaching, and research in anesthesiology and critical care medicine, his work focuses on perioperative functional monitoring and protection of vital organs, as well as improvement of anesthesia quality.
He currently serves as the Deputy Head of the Pediatric Anesthesiology Group of the Chinese Society of Anesthesiology; Chair of the Pediatric Anesthesiology Professional Committee of the China Medical Education Association; Vice Chair of the Pediatric Anesthesia Branch of the Chinese Society of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesiology; Vice Chair of the Pediatric Anesthesiology Specialty Committee for Postgraduate Medical Education of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Member of the Anesthesiology Committee of the Shanghai Medical Association and Deputy Head of its Pediatric Anesthesiology Group; Member of the Anesthesiologist Branch of the Shanghai Medical Doctor Association; Standing Committee Member of the Anesthesiology Branch of the Chinese Research Hospital Association; Standing Committee Member of the Shanghai Society of Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine for Anesthesia and Analgesia; Editorial Board Member of the *Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology* and *Chinese Journal of Postgraduate Medical Education*; and Peer Reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation, Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and Wu Jieping Foundation. He has edited *Selected Cases in Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery Anesthesia*, *Selected Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery Anesthesia Cases*, and the *Anesthesia Q&A Series – Anesthetic Pharmacology*; translated the first and second editions of *A Practice of Anesthesia for Infants and Children* and *Perianesthesia Nursing: A Bedside Safety Recovery Guide*; co-translated *Pediatric Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine*; and contributed to *Pediatric Anesthesia Manual*, *Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine*, *New Anesthetic Pharmacology*, and *Anesthetic Pharmacology – National Health and Family Planning Commission "13th Five-Year Plan" Digital Textbook*. He has published over 60 SCI papers as first author or corresponding author in journals such as *Nature Neuroscience*, *Neuron*, and *Anesthesiology*. Some of his work has been highly commended by *Science STKE*, *Nature Neuroscience*, *Trends in Neuroscience*, and *Faculty 1000*.
Overseas Training: He studied neuroelectrophysiology and neural function regulation at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Vanderbilt Medical Center in the United States.
