Sun Lianping, Chief Physician and Associate Professor, Deputy Director of the Department of Neurosurgery, Shanghai Children's Medical Center, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. With over 30 years of experience in pediatric neurosurgery, she possesses a solid theoretical foundation and extensive clinical expertise in this field. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital conditions such as hydrocephalus, intracranial cysts, craniosynostosis, Chiari malformation, and neural tube defects, as well as acquired diseases including brain tumors, spinal cord tumors, traumatic brain hemorrhage, and comminuted depressed skull fractures. By employing neuroendoscopic techniques, which emphasize minimally invasive approaches and better neurological development in children, she has successfully treated nearly a thousand cases of obstructive hydrocephalus and intracranial cysts at various sites, establishing a leading position in the treatment of pediatric intracranial cysts in China. In recent years, she has completed one provincial and ministerial-level scientific research project, published over 40 articles in core domestic journals, and contributed to the writing of five medical textbooks. Currently, she serves as a member of the Neurosurgery Physicians Branch of the Shanghai Medical Doctor Association, Vice Chairperson of the Female Neurosurgeons Committee of the Fourth Neurosurgery Physicians Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, a member of the Pediatric Neuro-Minimally Invasive Group of the Maternal and Child Minimally Invasive Branch of the China Maternal and Child Health Association, Executive Director of the Chinese Female Neurosurgeons Alliance, and a visiting scholar in the Department of Neurosurgery at Prince of Wales Hospital, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
