Yan Zhilong, Chief Physician, Associate Professor, Executive Deputy Director of General Surgery, Director of Neonatal Surgery, Director of Day Surgery Center, and Director of Pediatric Minimally Invasive Center. His main focus is on neonatal surgery, as well as pediatric hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal, and anorectal malformations. His primary medical expertise lies in pediatric endoscopic surgery (minimally invasive surgery), utilizing thoracoscopy and laparoscopy to treat neonatal and most pediatric surgical diseases. He has consecutively organized six sessions of the Pediatric Laparoscopic Surgery Training Course. He currently serves as a member of the Pediatric Endoscopy Group of the Chinese Pediatric Surgery Society, a member of the Shanghai Pediatric Surgery Society, a member of the Neonatal Surgery Group of the Maternal and Child Minimally Invasive Branch of the China Maternal and Child Health Association, a member of the First Committee of Trauma Critical Care Specialists of the Trauma Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and a member of the Pediatric Liver Disease Group of the Shanghai Medical Doctor Association. Overseas training: He underwent advanced training in Israel and the United States in 2005 and 2008, respectively. Main research directions: Early diagnosis and surgical treatment of neonatal gastrointestinal malformations, early diagnosis and intervention of perinatal congenital malformations in children, minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of Hirschsprung's disease along with analysis and research of intestinal microbiota, early diagnosis and management of pediatric portosystemic venous malformations, and treatment and prognostic evaluation of pediatric anorectal malformations. Recent research achievements: He has received the Third Prize of the Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award and the Second Prize of the Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award. In recent years, he has published 25 papers, including 3 SCI papers. He has been awarded one project by the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission and has obtained one authorized patent.
