Dr. Ding Yu, Ph.D., Associate Chief Physician With many years of clinical and scientific research experience in the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Dr. Ding has extensive clinical expertise in the treatment of common pediatric conditions such as short stature, precocious puberty, diabetes, obesity, thyroid disorders, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, Turner syndrome, and hypoglycemia. She has also conducted clinical genetic research on rare diseases including disorders of sex development, atypical forms of diabetes, and congenital disorders of glycosylation. She was a recipient of the Medical Clinical Youth Science and Technology Innovation Award from the Shanghai Women Physicians Association. Dr. Ding currently serves as a member of the Youth Committee of the Children's Disease and Healthcare Branch of the China Maternal and Child Health Association, and as a member of the Endocrine, Genetic and Metabolic Group of the Pediatric Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association. International training: She participated in a training program at Boston Children's Hospital in the United States. Main research interests: Clinical research on Turner syndrome and type 1 diabetes; clinical diagnosis, treatment, and mechanistic studies of monogenic diabetes and diabetes syndromes.
