Zhou Wei, Chief Physician, served as Director of the Department of Nephrology and Rheumatology from 1998 to 2019. He has been primarily engaged in the diagnosis, treatment, and clinical research of pediatric kidney diseases and rheumatic diseases. He was the first in China to report the use of hydroxychloroquine in treating childhood systemic lupus erythematosus and multi-target therapy for childhood lupus nephritis. He also paid early attention to clinical issues such as the relationship between renal interstitial lesions and the efficacy of nephrotic syndrome in children, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of various types of childhood systemic vasculitis. He has established standardized diagnostic and treatment approaches for common pediatric rheumatic and kidney diseases and has accumulated experience with most types of pediatric rheumatic and kidney diseases. Current positions include: Deputy Head of the Pediatric Rheumatology and Immunology Group of the Pediatric Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Member of the Immunology Group of the Pediatric Branch of the Chinese Medical Association; Expert of the Children's Health Collaborative Innovation Platform Committee of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine; Member of the Rheumatology and Immunology Sample Bank of the China Medical Biotechnology Association; Vice Chair of the China Children's Immunology and Health Alliance; Member of the Rheumatology and Immunology Physician Branch of the Shanghai Medical Doctor Association; Member of the Shanghai Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Rheumatology Society; Expert of the Shanghai Rheumatology Quality Control; Expert for the Identification of Adverse Reactions to Vaccination of the Shanghai Medical Association; and Reviewer for the *Journal of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Medical Science)*. He has contributed to the writing of monographs including *Standards for Diagnosis and Treatment of Pediatric Immune System Diseases*, *Systemic Vasculitis*, *Pediatric Immunology*, *Standard Training Textbook for Physician Assessment - Rheumatology and Immunology Volume*, *Standardized Training for Resident Physicians: Pediatric Demonstration Cases*, *Integrated Medical Organ-System Textbook: Rheumatology and Immunology*, and *Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Pediatric Rheumatology*. He served as the first writer of the "Chinese Expert Consensus on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis," co-writer of the "Diagnosis and Treatment Recommendations for Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (Polyarticular/Oligoarticular Types)," first writer of the "Expert Consensus on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Macrophage Activation Syndrome Related to Pediatric Rheumatic Diseases Part II: Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis," and first corresponding author of the "Expert Recommendations Series on Practical Clinical Hot Topics in Pediatric Immune-Related Diseases Part I: Recommendations for the Use of Methotrexate in Chinese Children with Rheumatic Diseases." He has received the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Award from the China Association of Chinese Medicine (as the second completer). Overseas training: In 2001, he studied pediatric rheumatology at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York, USA.
