Chen Yiwei, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Chief Physician, Department of Cardiology, Shanghai Children's Medical Center. Trained under the renowned pediatric cardiovascular disease expert Professor Li Fen, he primarily focuses on clinical and basic research in pediatric congenital heart disease and pacing electrophysiology. Annually, he performs over 300 cases of pediatric cardiac catheterization and interventional treatment for congenital heart disease, more than 100 cases of radiofrequency ablation for pediatric arrhythmias, and over 50 cases of pediatric pacemaker implantation. He currently serves as a member of the Cardiac Rhythm Professional Committee of the Shanghai Biomedical Engineering Society. He has published over 10 original research articles as the first author, including 4 indexed in SCI. As a team member, he has received the Soong Ching Ling Pediatric Medicine Award and the Third Prize of the Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award. He has led one project each from the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission's Youth Program, the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission's Scientific Research Program, and the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission's Youth Program. Overseas Training: He has visited and exchanged at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in the United States. Main Research Directions: Pacemaker implantation therapy for pediatric bradyarrhythmias, interventional diagnosis and treatment of pediatric congenital heart disease.
