Wang Wei, Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, Director of the Department of Extracorporeal Circulation Engaged in pediatric extracorporeal circulation work, participating in cardiopulmonary bypass for congenital heart surgery and leading the extracorporeal circulation team in providing extracorporeal life support for critically ill children, namely extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and ventricular assist device (VAD) work. Participates in nearly 50 ECMO treatments annually. Pioneered modified ultrafiltration, the use of acetate Ringer's solution, and extracorporeal life support in the domestic extracorporeal circulation field, and conducted research on the development of centrifugal pumps. Currently serves as Standing Committee Member and Secretary of the Extracorporeal Circulation Branch of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, Chair-Elect of the Extracorporeal Circulation Professional Committee of the Shanghai Society of Biomedical Engineering, Member of the Ninth National Committee of the Chinese Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Member of the Congenital Heart Disease Professional Group of the Chinese Society of Pediatric Surgery, Member of the Cardiovascular Surgery Specialty Committee of the Shanghai Medical Association, and Standing Committee Member of the Extracorporeal Life Support Society of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association. Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the *Chinese Journal of Extracorporeal Circulation* and Editorial Board Member of other journals. Overseas training: Studied pediatric extracorporeal circulation techniques at the Department of Cardiac Surgery of Boston Children's Hospital and the Department of Cardiac Surgery and Intensive Care Unit of Texas Children's Hospital in the United States. Main research directions: Perioperative organ protection in congenital heart disease, clinical research on cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO, and myocardial regeneration research.
