Zhu Zhongqun, Chief Physician, Professor, and Master's Supervisor Currently serves as Director of the Second Ward of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Shanghai Children's Medical Center, affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and Deputy Director of the "Cardiomyopathy and Heart Failure Diagnosis and Treatment Center" at the National Children's Medical Center. Member of the Chinese Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, and member of the Chinese College of Cardiovascular Surgeons of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association. He obtained his Master's and Doctoral degrees in Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 1996 and 2004, respectively. In 2005 and 2012, he pursued advanced studies in cardiothoracic surgery at Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel and Boston Children's Hospital in the United States. He has extensive clinical experience in the surgical treatment of neonatal critical congenital heart diseases, such as pulmonary valve stenosis or atresia, coarctation of the aorta, interrupted aortic arch, and total anomalous pulmonary venous connection, as well as complex cyanotic congenital heart diseases including tetralogy of Fallot, double outlet right ventricle, complete atrioventricular septal defect, complete transposition of the great arteries, and single ventricle. In 2012, he won the second prize in the Young Physician Excellent Paper Competition of the Chinese Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. He has published over 50 papers as the first author or corresponding author, including more than 10 SCI-indexed papers and over 30 papers in core journals. As the principal investigator, he has led research projects funded by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, and Pudong New Area Health Commission. He has participated in winning one National Science and Technology Progress Award (Second Class), one Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award (Second Class), one Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (First Class) and one (Third Class), and holds one patent.
