Zheng Jinghao, Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, Chief Expert in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Deputy Director of Shanghai Cardiovascular Research Institute. He has long been engaged in the surgical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart disease in children, having performed nearly 10,000 corrective surgeries for congenital heart defects. He pursued advanced training in cardiothoracic surgery at Boston Children's Hospital in the United States in 2000 and at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, in 2009. He has extensive clinical experience in the surgical treatment of complex congenital heart disease in infants and young children. He has rich clinical experience in various simple and complex congenital cardiac malformations, including minimally invasive treatments via small incisions and lateral thoracotomies, as well as conditions such as double outlet right ventricle (DORV), total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC) of various types, pulmonary atresia (PA), and aortic arch great vessel stenosis or interruption (IAA). He is particularly skilled in performing one-stage and two-stage biventricular radical correction for complete and corrected transposition of the great arteries (D-TGA, L-TGA), conversion of functional single ventricle to biventricular repair in complex malformations, and valvuloplasty for Ebstein anomaly with a high success rate in preserving biventricular function. He has also successfully performed coronary artery bypass grafting for Kawasaki disease in children, as well as anatomical correction and heart transplantation for various cardiomyopathies. Current positions: Standing Committee Member of the Congenital Heart Disease Committee of the National Cardiovascular Disease Expert Committee; Vice Chairman of the Congenital Heart Disease Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association's Cardiovascular Surgery Branch; Deputy Head of the Cardiothoracic Group of the Pediatric Surgery Society of the Chinese Medical Association; Member of the National Pediatric Surgery Association Committee; Member and Secretary of the Third Committee of the Cardiovascular and Great Vessel Surgery Specialty Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association. Member of the Editorial Committee of the National Physician Periodic Examination Cardiovascular Surgery Specialty; Expert for the Fifth Shanghai Medical Association Medical Dispute Technical Appraisal in 2019; and Shanghai Academic and Scientific Research Evaluation Expert. He serves as an Editorial Board Member for the *Chinese Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery* and the *Chinese Journal of Pediatric Surgery*, as well as an Editorial Board Member and Invited Reviewer for other journals such as the *Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery*, holding numerous committee positions. Research achievements: Published 106 academic papers as first author, including 28 indexed in SCI and 73 in core journals. Research projects undertaken: 1 National Key Research and Development Project, 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, 1 project from the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and 1 project from the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission. He has obtained 12 national patent authorizations. Awards and honors: Selected for the fifth batch of the "Hundred Talents Program" of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine; awarded the Sixth "Chinese Medical Doctor Association Cardiovascular Surgery Physician - Golden Scalpel Award" in 2013; First Prize for the paper at the Sixth Annual Academic Conference of the Asian Pediatric Cardiac Society; participated in completing the "Surgical Treatment of Complex Congenital Heart Disease in Infants and Young Children," which won the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the First Prize of the Ministry of Health and Shanghai Pudong New Area Science and Technology Award, the Second Prize of the National Maternal and Child Health Science and Technology Award, and the Tenth Soong Ching Ling Pediatric Medicine Award.
