He has long been dedicated to the frontline of surgical treatment for pediatric congenital heart disease. Over the past 30 years of medical practice, he has performed more than 5,000 congenital heart disease surgeries, filling multiple domestic technical gaps. He specializes in surgical correction of complex congenital heart disease and hybrid cardiology-surgery treatments, with profound expertise in neonatal and infant complex congenital heart surgery, various valvular lesion corrections, single ventricle correction, cardiac tumors, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy correction, and clinical application of valved conduits.

He has received honors including Shanghai Advanced Worker, Shanghai Medical Craftsman, the "Silk Road Angel" Medal from the Red Cross Society of China, "Most Beautiful Volunteer" of the Shanghai Health System, the first "Benevolent Physician" Award in Shanghai, the "Golden Scalpel Award" from the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and "Advanced Individual of the Shanghai Health Bureau."
Overseas training: He studied pediatric congenital heart disease diagnosis and treatment techniques at the Cardiac Surgery Department of the National Children's Medical Center in Washington, USA, and the Cardiac Surgery Department of Boston Children's Hospital.
Main research directions: Hybrid surgical treatment of complex congenital heart disease, establishment and application of key technologies for perinatal diagnosis and treatment of neonatal complex congenital heart disease, basic and clinical research on tissue-engineered blood vessels, and 3D printing and computational hemodynamics-assisted optimization of surgical design.
