Primarily engaged in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of various pediatric congenital heart diseases, with a special focus on complex congenital heart disease in infants and young children, as well as the diagnosis and management of congenital heart disease complicated by tracheal stenosis.

Standing Committee Member of the Chinese Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery (7th and 8th terms), Chair of the Congenital Heart Disease Academic Committee of the Chinese Association of Cardiovascular Surgeons (2nd and 3rd terms), Vice President of the Chinese Association of Cardiovascular Surgeons (3rd term), and Vice Chair of the Shanghai Medical Association's Branch of Cardiovascular and Aortic Surgery (1st term).
Overseas Training: From 1986 to 1987, obtained the "Clinical Research Fellow" certificate at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. Has visited and studied at major pediatric cardiovascular centers worldwide on multiple occasions.
In 1997, was selected for the "Hundred Talents Program" for training disciplinary leaders in the Shanghai healthcare system. From 2001 to 2003, received the title of Shanghai Model Worker. In 2004, was honored as an Advanced Worker by the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau and as one of the "Top Ten Doctors" in the Shanghai healthcare system. In 2005, was recognized as a Leading Talent in the Shanghai healthcare field. In 2009, received the 4th High Medical Ethics Award of the Shanghai healthcare system. Was promoted to Associate Chief Physician and Chief Physician ahead of schedule on two separate occasions. Has published over 120 papers. Served as editor-in-chief of 5 monographs, including "Pediatric Cardiac Surgery" and "Atlas of Difficult Surgical Procedures for Congenital Heart Disease," and contributed to 15 other monographs. Has supervised 9 master's students and 11 doctoral students.
Has received a total of 32 awards, including: 2 First Prizes in Shanghai Clinical Medical Achievement Awards, 2 Second Prizes and 3 Third Prizes in Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Awards, a Second Prize in the 2005 National Science and Technology Progress Award (as the third completer), and the 2008 Chinese Association of Cardiovascular Surgeons Award (Golden Scalpel Award). The innovation and breakthrough in the surgical diagnosis, treatment, and basic research of pediatric congenital heart disease complicated by tracheal stenosis were recognized with the 2017 Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Third Prize, the National Maternal and Child Health Science and Technology Second Prize, and the Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Third Prize.
