Completed four projects for the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission and participated in two National Natural Science Foundation of China projects.
In 2013, won first place in the Shanghai Division of the first National Elite Cup Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS) Lobectomy Skills Competition organized by the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and first place in the national popularity ranking. Award-winning surgery name: "VATS Left Upper Lobectomy + Pulmonary Arterioplasty"
In 2014, won the National Excellence Award in the second National Elite Cup VATS Lobectomy Skills Competition organized by the Chinese Medical Doctor Association. Award-winning surgery name: "VATS Single-Port (Uniportal) Right Upper Lobectomy + Lymph Node Dissection"
In 2015, won first prize in the Shanghai Science Popularization Essay Competition, titled: "Confessions of a Pulmonary Ground-Glass Opacity – I Want to Be the Boss."
In 2015, served as a visiting scholar in the United States for six months, visiting the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis.
In 2016, produced a science popularization video that won first place in the national online popularity dissemination category of the first National Medical Science Popularization Micro-Video Competition organized by the Chinese Medical Association. The video was titled: "Inner Monologue of a Pulmonary Ground-Glass Opacity – I Am Essentially Benign."
In 2016, published a medical poem related to pulmonary nodules, "I LONG TO BE KING," in the top American thoracic surgery journal *CHEST* (SCI journal, impact factor 7.483).
In 2016, applied a related minimally invasive uniportal VATS invention patent to clinical surgery, with results published in the authoritative American thoracic surgery journal *ATS* (SCI journal, impact factor 3.894).
In 2016, published a series of bilingual (Chinese and English) anti-cancer inspirational poems on the Shanghai Medical Association's science popularization public account, and published multiple science popularization articles related to pulmonary nodules in various medical journals.
In 2017, served as editor-in-chief of the lung cancer science popularization book *Declare War on Lung Cancer, Can You Win?* (Shanghai Science and Technology Press, 250,000 words).
