Medical Expertise: Infectious skin diseases include common viral skin conditions such as herpes zoster, common fungal skin conditions such as tinea pedis, and rare infectious skin diseases such as cutaneous tuberculosis and nontuberculous mycobacterial infections; disfiguring skin diseases such as acne; neuropsychiatric skin diseases such as neurodermatitis and factitial dermatitis; and cutaneous connective tissue diseases such as cutaneous lupus erythematosus.
