Chief Physician of Cardiac Surgery, Doctoral Supervisor, currently serving as Deputy Director of the Cardiovascular Medicine Department at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. Graduated from the Clinical Medicine Department of Sun Yat-sen University School of Medicine in 2003. In 2017, served as a visiting scholar at Stanford University School of Medicine in the United States. As a technical backbone in major cardiac and vascular surgery, has performed over 3,000 cases of various congenital heart diseases, valve replacements, and coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) during his career. Possesses extensive clinical experience in complex coronary artery bypass grafting, minimally invasive cardiac valve surgery, and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). High-difficulty Grade IV cardiac surgeries account for 89.9% of his procedures, with an average CMI value of 7.21. In recent years, has actively promoted endoscopic minimally invasive cardiac valve surgery, multi-artery bypass grafting, and new techniques such as TAVI/TMVR. One of the pioneering doctors in South China to perform the axillary minimally invasive "invisible incision" (LAMELAS) valve surgery, leading the adoption of new techniques including bilateral skeletonized internal mammary artery harvesting and radial artery harvesting using ultrasonic scalpel, as well as promoting endoscopic saphenous vein harvesting (EVH) technology, making the unit one of the earliest and highest-volume centers in South China. Currently a core member of the TAVI team in the Cardiac Surgery Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. In 2022, the unit performed one of the highest numbers of transapical TAVI procedures in the province, and he serves as a provincial-level transapical TAVI training instructor. In 2018, received the "Earl Bakken" Award from the Chinese Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. Currently serves as a member of the Cardiovascular Surgery Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association, Vice Chairman of the Youth Professional Group of the Cardiovascular Surgery Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, and Standing Committee Member and Vice Chairman of the Youth Committee of the Cardiovascular Professional Committee of the Guangdong Physiological Society. Recognized as an Outstanding Young Medical Talent of Guangdong Province and a Distinguished Young and Middle-Aged Doctor of Guangdong Province. Has published 21 English SCI papers and over 20 papers in domestic core journals. Principal investigator of one National Natural Science Foundation project and three Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects. Holds three national invention patents. Has led clinical research projects selected for presentations at top academic conferences in the field, such as the AATS (American Association for Thoracic Surgery).
