Graduated from the six-year English-taught program at Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences. From 1995 to 1997, studied abroad in Australia. He is the first recipient of the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award in the medical field of Guangdong Province. He has served as Deputy Director of the Internal Medicine Teaching and Research Office, Deputy Director of the Medical Experiment Center, and Deputy Director of the Nephrology Department. Currently, he serves as Director of the Rheumatology and Immunology Department, Chairman of the Rheumatology Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association, Standing Committee Member of the Rheumatology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Standing Committee Member of the Rheumatology and Immunology Physician Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Standing Committee Member of the Internal Medicine Physician Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Vice Chairman of the Rheumatology and Immunology Professional Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association, and Vice Chairman of the Rheumatology and Immunology Physician Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association. His main research focuses on systemic lupus erythematosus and lupus nephritis. He has led 6 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China; received the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Award nominated by the Ministry of Education, the Second Prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award, the First Prize of the Natural Science Award of Chinese Universities, and the Second Prize of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award. He has published over 30 papers in renowned journals such as *Arthritis & Rheumatology*, *Kidney International*, and *Annals of Rheumatic Diseases*. He has edited 3 monographs, including *Nephrotic Syndrome* (People's Medical Publishing House), and served as Deputy Editor-in-Chief for the first and second editions of the standardized residency training textbooks *Internal Medicine: Rheumatology and Immunology Volume* and *Differential Diagnosis of Internal Diseases* (People's Medical Publishing House).
