Engaged in clinical, teaching, and scientific research work in nephrology for over 30 years. Served as Director of the Department of Nephrology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (2005-2022) and as a member of the Nominating Committee of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (2018-2022). Conducted basic and clinical research as a visiting scholar and clinical observer at the Institute of Immunology, Al. Fleming Biomedical Sciences Research Center in Greece, Toronto General Hospital, University of Toronto in Canada, and the Kidney Research Institute, Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington in the United States. Major professional expertise and research directions include peritoneal dialysis and the prevention and treatment of kidney diseases through integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. As the principal investigator of scientific research projects, led over 20 projects at various levels, including 9 from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. As the lead and major participant in research achievements, received 1 second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and 8 achievement awards, including the first prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. Published over 330 papers in renowned domestic and international journals, including over 130 papers in SCI-indexed journals such as Am J Kidney Dis and Clin J Am Soc Nephrol, with over 80 as first author or corresponding author. Currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Kidney Disease Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine, Vice Chairman of the Blood Purification Center Management Branch of the Chinese Hospital Association, Standing Committee Member of the Blood Purification and Engineering Technology Branch of the China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care, Standing Committee Member of the Kidney Disease Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, Deputy Head of the Peritoneal Dialysis Group of the Kidney Disease Dialysis Professional Committee of the China Non-Government Medical Institutions Association, Council Member of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, Chairman of the Nephrology Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, Vice Chairman of the Kidney Disease Branch of the Guangdong Association of Integrative Medicine, Vice Chairman of the Blood Purification Branch of the Guangdong Women Physicians Association, and Lifetime Council Member of the Guangdong Association of Integrative Medicine. Serves as Editorial Board Member for journals including *Chinese Journal of Nephrology*, *Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine*, and *Chinese Journal of Blood Purification*.
