With over 20 years of experience in ophthalmology clinical work, teaching, and research, he has extensive clinical expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal diseases, cataracts, fundus diseases, and lacrimal duct disorders. He specializes in corneal laser refractive surgery and corneal transplantation, phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation, vitreoretinal surgery, and lacrimal duct recanalization. He has long been dedicated to scientific research on corneal and ocular surface diseases, tissue engineering and stem cells, as well as systemic diseases-related ocular conditions. He has led over ten research projects at various levels, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Plan, and the Natural Science Foundation. He has also directed six GCP drug clinical trial projects and participated in more than ten national and provincial-level projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program, the "Eleventh Five-Year" and "Twelfth Five-Year" 863 Program, the "Eleventh Five-Year" National Science and Technology Support Program, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He holds one national invention patent. In recent years, he has published over 60 papers, including more than 40 in SCI-indexed international professional journals. He has contributed to the compilation of five ophthalmology professional works, two national guideline consensuses, and one provincial expert consensus. He has received one third-class award for scientific and technological progress from Guangdong Province. He has been honored with titles such as "Good Doctor of Yangcheng," the inaugural "Good Doctor of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University," "Outstanding Teaching Manager" of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, and "Excellent Teaching Physician."
