After graduating from a 7-year program at Sun Yat-sen University in July 1996, I have been working at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University ever since. I was promoted to Chief Physician in December 2009; transitioned to Professor in 2015; and was rated as a Level 3 Professor and Level 2 Chief Physician in 2022. Major Social Appointments: Leader of the Hepatobiliary Group, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery Branch, Guangdong Medical Association; Chairman of the Hepatobiliary Disease Special Committee, Guangdong Health Management Association; Member of the Hepatocellular Carcinoma Group, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery Branch, Chinese Research Hospital Association; Standing Committee Member of the Biliary and Pancreatic Group, Guangdong Hepatology Association. I have led 8 research grants, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province. As the first or corresponding author, I have published over 30 papers in journals such as *Ann Surg*, *Br J Surg*, *Surgery*, and *International Journal of Cancer*.
