Graduated from the Clinical Medicine Department of Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in July 1988. Pursued a doctoral degree in surgery ahead of schedule in 1995 and obtained a Doctorate in Surgery in 1998. Served as an attending physician and lecturer starting November 1993. Became an associate chief physician and associate professor in November 1998. Appointed as chief physician and professor in November 2004. Has been engaged in medical care, teaching, and scientific research in the Department of Urology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, with a particular focus on clinical diagnosis and treatment in urology.
