Department Details
Shanghai Children's Medical Center's Child Health Management Center is a specialized, one-stop health service department dedicated to pediatric health examination and assessment, disease risk evaluation, and health management assessment. The center comprises the Health Management Department, Rehabilitation Department, and Mental Health Psychology Department. Its primary services include routine health check-ups for children and adolescents (such as pre-kindergarten and school entry exams), infant nutrition screening (including high-risk and critically ill infants), monitoring of growth and development in children and adolescents (such as growth retardation, obesity, scoliosis, and physical development), assessment of sexual development in children and adolescents, mental health screening and promotion for children and adolescents, and follow-up management of pediatric diseases.
Leveraging new productive forces and digital empowerment in health management assessment research, the center establishes a scientific and comprehensive "Personal Physical and Mental Health Record" for each child (including genetic information, baseline birth data, physical monitoring data, mental health assessments, and disease status evaluations). Starting with physical monitoring, it secures the first checkpoint for screening, enabling early detection, early intervention, and full-cycle monitoring, assessment, and digital management of pediatric diseases. This spans the entire prevention-treatment-rehabilitation cycle, with a focus on psychological support, nutritional support, and physical conditioning, exploring and building a new model. On the basis of routine health management, the center integrates brain cognitive health and mental health assessments (such as anxiety, depression, somatic symptoms, and sleep conditions) into each child's health management. It implements a health management model involving early screening, stratified assessment, and comprehensive intervention for brain cognitive health, gradually refining the brain cognitive health management system for children and adolescents and the early screening system for mental health issues.
While providing high-quality, high-standard services for children in the hospital, the center relies on the strong comprehensive capabilities of the Children's Medical Center to offer professional health education and post-examination medical green channel services for parents, children, and adolescents. It employs scientific and rational methods to monitor, assess, intervene in, and manage children's physical and mental health, promoting their comprehensive and healthy development.
