Basic Department Information: The department is composed of pediatric nephrology, rheumatology and immunology, and respiratory specialties. It is a key discipline of Guangdong Province, a key medical discipline of Guangdong Province during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period, and a key clinical specialty of Guangdong Province. The diagnosis and treatment of diseases within its scope have reached an advanced domestic level and are aligned with international standards. The Pediatric Nephrology Center holds a leading position in the field of nephrology in South China and is one of the first units in China to perform renal biopsy procedures. It has participated in the development and updating of the national "Evidence-Based Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Common Childhood Kidney Diseases" and is responsible for formulating and updating the "Evidence-Based Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Steroid-Sensitive, Relapsing/Dependent Nephrotic Syndrome." Members of the department serve as chairpersons, vice chairpersons, and standing committee members in multiple medical societies and associations at the national and provincial levels, and also serve as editorial board members for several medical journals.
