Since the establishment of the Institute of Otorhinolaryngology Science at Sun Yat-sen University in 2003, clinical anatomy laboratories, molecular biology laboratories, clinical hearing laboratories, sleep breathing laboratories, and allergy laboratories have been successively established, forming a robust research platform. Scientific research has advanced rapidly, with the acquisition of 2 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 4 other national projects, 14 provincial and ministerial projects, and 4 bureau-level projects, totaling 1.355 million yuan in funding.
