### Basic Information of the Department The Surgical Outpatient Department currently has 5 permanent physicians, 3 rotating physicians, and 13 nurses. Among them, there is 1 senior title physician, 4 associate senior title physicians, 1 attending physician, 9 senior nurses, and 2 nurses. Currently, 25 specialties and 190 professors provide outpatient services in the department. In 2012, the annual outpatient volume reached 343,000 visits. ### Clinical Work The Surgical Outpatient Department primarily focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of general surgical diseases, performing 40 types of outpatient surgical procedures, managing various wound treatments, and conducting blood sampling and laboratory tests. The department is equipped with advanced technology and treatment concepts, offering extensive clinical experience in anorectal diseases, pediatric conditions, complex surgical cases, and plastic and cosmetic surgery. ### Scientific Research The Surgical Outpatient Department currently has two ongoing research projects, two medical patents, and has published over 30 research papers. ### Talent Development As one of the medical education and training sites of Sun Yat-sen University, the Surgical Outpatient Department has long been responsible for the training and education of surgical postgraduates, undergraduates, and nursing staff. **Department Director:** Su Aiyun **Deputy Department Director:** Li Qiang
