Graduated from the Department of Stomatology, former Beijing Medical College in 1984 with a bachelor's degree; graduated from the Graduate School of the School of Stomatology, Beijing Medical University in 1990 with a doctoral degree; from 1994 to present, successively served as a resident (1984-1986), attending physician (1991-1992), associate chief physician (1993-1998), associate professor (1993-1998), chief physician (1998-), and professor (2000-) in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Peking University School of Stomatology. In 1990, 1994, and 2004, pursued further studies at the University of Bern in Switzerland, Asahi University in Japan, and University College London in the United Kingdom, respectively. Currently serves as chief physician, professor, doctoral supervisor, Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Trauma Center, and Director of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the School of Stomatology, Beijing Medical University.
