Since 1985, he has worked clinically at the First and Third Hospitals of Beijing (Medical) University and Peking University People's Hospital. In 1993, he became the first on-the-job clinical medical doctor in China. He currently holds concurrent positions in the Hepatobiliary Surgery Department at Peking University International Hospital and the Digestive Minimally Invasive Center at Beijing United Family Hospital. Specially Appointed Expert, Professor of Surgery, Chief Physician, Clinical Medical Doctor, one of the pioneers and consultants of laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery in China. Honors and Awards From 1990 to 2000, he won the First and Second Prizes for Outstanding Papers by National Young and Middle-aged General Surgeons for 5 consecutive times; In 1996, he was awarded the national health system "Outstanding Young Professional"; In 2015, he received the only Outstanding Paper Award in the General Surgery specialty at the American Annual Meeting of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgeons; He has published more than 130 academic papers in domestic and international academic journals, and served as chief editor, co-editor, chief translator, or co-translator of more than 50 academic monographs, training textbooks, and audiovisual teaching materials.
