Q Is Dovecure a hospital?
No. The platform is a third-party service agency, not a medical institution. It does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment, diagnostic conclusions, or prescriptions. Actual medical advice and care are provided by licensed physicians at the recommended hospitals.
Q Can I trust the doctors?
All recommended doctors hold attending rank or above at Grade III, Class A / JCI-accredited hospitals in China, and their credentials have been verified by the platform.
Q Are my documents secure?
Medical records are encrypted during transmission and storage throughout the process and are not disclosed to any third party without authorization. Copies can be deleted at your request after the consultation. Personal information is processed in accordance with Articles 14 and 29 of PIPL, and you may withdraw consent by email.
Q Can I use this service in an emergency?
No. This service is only for non-emergency situations. For an emergency or a critical or life-threatening condition, call your local emergency number or go to a hospital emergency department immediately. The platform may help contact a hospital but is not responsible for emergency treatment.
Q Can I get a refund if I am dissatisfied?
Cancel before the doctor accepts your case for a full refund, returned through the original payment method within 7 working days. After acceptance, refunds are not available for reasons unrelated to service quality. However, a full refund applies if the doctor does not respond within 48h and the delay is not attributable to problems with your submitted documents. For quality concerns, you may request 1 free review within 7 days of delivery.
Q Can prescriptions be issued?
No. This service does not include issuing prescriptions or selling medicines. If you need prescription medication, follow the doctor's advice to attend an in-person consultation or use the procedures of a compliant internet hospital.
Q How are cross-border payments calculated?
The service is priced in USD, with conversion at the PBoC central parity rate for the yuan against the US dollar on the payment date. The platform issues invoices in Chinese yuan (CNY). There is no platform service fee or credit card processing fee.
Q Do I need to sign the agreement personally?
No. The agreement takes effect when you click Agree on the platform. No printing, handwritten signature, stamp, or courier delivery is required.
