The Cardiopulmonary Function Room was established in July 1995. It primarily undertakes the examination, evaluation, and diagnosis of electrocardiograms (ECG), Holter monitoring, and pulmonary function tests for outpatients, emergency patients, and inpatients across the hospital. It is an indispensable department supporting clinical oncology treatment at this hospital. The department has gradually developed, and its current diagnostic and examination services include the following: 12-lead ECG, atropine test, 24-hour dynamic ECG monitoring system, and pulmonary function tests including ventilation function measurement, diffusion function measurement (rebreathing method and single-breath method), residual volume calculation, and impulse oscillometry for lung resistance measurement. Current departmental equipment includes: 5 ECG machines, 5 sets of MedEx ECG systems, 2 bedside ECG devices, 2 Holter 12-lead synchronous ECG monitors, 2 Jaeger Masterscreen Body pulmonary function testing systems (Germany), 1 self-service ECG reporting system, and 2 self-service ECG report printers. The department currently has 1 associate chief physician, 5 physicians, 2 senior technicians, 2 technicians, and 5 junior technicians. Under the high workload of over 100,000 ECG cases, more than 9,000 Holter monitoring cases, over 10,000 pulmonary function tests, and more than 50,000 clinical trials annually, no errors or disputes have occurred. All staff members are dedicated to continuous improvement and strive to meet the challenges of higher standards in medical quality, diagnostic proficiency, and research technology.
