The Family Hereditary Cancer Center aims to provide professional genetic counseling, susceptibility gene testing and result interpretation, as well as risk assessment and precise individualized treatment for patients with hereditary breast cancer and high-risk individuals. For healthy women carrying BRCA mutations, it offers breast cancer risk assessment, early diagnosis, and potential preventive interventions to minimize the risk of developing breast cancer. For mutation-positive breast cancer patients, it provides precise surgical treatment and targeted adjuvant chemotherapy and targeted therapy, ensuring optimal treatment outcomes for patients with hereditary breast cancer. The center has also developed the BRCA-CRisk model for predicting the risk of contralateral breast cancer in BRCA mutation carriers. This model accurately predicts the risk of contralateral breast cancer, aiding physicians and patients in deciding whether to undergo prophylactic mastectomy. The academic leader, Professor Xie Yuntao, has long been dedicated to the research and clinical management of hereditary breast cancer. He pioneered the clinical testing and application of the breast cancer susceptibility gene BRCA in China and has accumulated extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of hereditary breast cancer.
The center's mission is "Detect one mutation, benefit one family." Identifying a mutation carrier not only facilitates precise personalized treatment for the patient but also benefits the entire family in terms of cancer risk management and reproductive health. Adhering to the principle of "Patient interests, our direction," the center is committed to providing high-quality, specialized clinical services for patients with hereditary breast cancer.
The center offers the following specialized medical services:
1. Professional interpretation of breast cancer susceptibility gene test results and risk assessment
2. Early diagnosis and preventive interventions for high-risk breast cancer populations
3. Precise surgical and individualized treatment for BRCA mutation-positive breast cancer patients
4. Accurate prediction of contralateral breast cancer risk in BRCA mutation carriers (BRCA-CRisk)
5. Health management and reproductive counseling for high-risk BRCA mutation families
6. A series of clinical studies targeting BRCA mutation-positive breast cancer patients
