The Laboratory of Gastrointestinal Tumor Biology was established on September 7, 2016. It primarily focuses on tumor omics research, with translational medicine as its research direction. Adhering to the integration of clinical and basic research, it is dedicated to identifying early diagnostic markers for gastric cancer and characterizing the immunological features of gastric cancer, as well as identifying targets for personalized treatment of gastric cancer, aiming to improve the early diagnosis rate of gastric cancer and prolong patient survival. The laboratory operates under a PI system and serves as a pilot unit for this system. The department currently has 6 full-time staff members, with the following personnel structure: 1 director, 4 technical staff, and 1 support staff. By professional title, there is 1 senior title, 1 intermediate title, 3 junior titles, and 1 worker. By educational background, there is 1 doctoral degree holder, 1 master's degree holder, 1 bachelor's degree holder, 2 associate degree holders, and 1 high school graduate.
