The Tumor Bioinformatics Center is a basic research department primarily focused on big data-driven multi-omics and bioinformatics research in oncology. The center is directed by Researcher Wu Jianmin, with a team comprising multidisciplinary backgrounds in bioinformatics, tumor biology, clinical medicine, statistics, and computer science, possessing both large-scale omics data analysis capabilities and molecular and cellular mechanism experimental skills. In recent years, the department has conducted cutting-edge research in areas such as integrated multi-omics analysis of tumors, tumor organoids, and the microbiome, with findings published in high-impact international journals including *Cancer Cell*, *Cell Host & Microbe*, *PNAS*, and *Nucleic Acids Research*, providing a theoretical foundation for the development of tumor biomarkers and novel therapeutic strategies. The main research directions of the department include: • Systematically elucidating the pathogenesis and drug resistance mechanisms of high-incidence cancers in China based on multi-omics big data, providing a theoretical basis for the development of biomarkers and novel drug targets. • Establishing a patient-derived tumor organoid model bank to conduct functional mechanism analysis and develop personalized treatment strategies based on omics findings. • Developing artificial intelligence algorithms and application platforms for omics big data and pathological big data in biomedicine.
