The Department of Radiology was established in 1933, featuring prominent specialties and strong overall capabilities. The department has consistently maintained a leading position in China in the field of respiratory system imaging diagnosis. In particular, it has accumulated extensive experience in the imaging diagnosis and interventional treatment of lung diseases, as well as in related clinical, teaching, and research areas. It holds significant advantages in the screening and diagnosis of pulmonary nodules, imaging diagnosis of lung diseases, and interventional treatment. The Department of Radiology is equipped with advanced imaging and diagnostic instruments from companies such as Siemens (Germany), Philips (Netherlands), GE (USA), and United Imaging (China), including the latest models of high-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines, CT scanners, and DSA systems. The department has a total of 13 CT machines, 3 MRI machines, 8 X-ray machines, and 3 DSA machines. It handles nearly 400,000 CT examinations, over 30,000 MRI examinations, and approximately 3,000 interventional procedures annually for the entire hospital. The department currently has 69 staff members (including those in interventional radiology), among whom there are 2 doctoral supervisors, 3 master's supervisors, 1 lecturer, 4 individuals with doctoral degrees, and 20 with master's degrees. In recent years, the department has undertaken over ten research projects, participated in the formulation of multiple guidelines and expert consensus documents, and received the Second Prize of the Ministry of Education's Science and Technology Progress Award and the Shanghai Science and Technology Achievement Award. Members of the department serve as members of the Cardiothoracic Group of the Chinese Medical Association's Radiology Branch, members of the Imaging Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Association's Tuberculosis Branch, members of the Emergency Imaging Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association's Radiology Branch, members of the Respiratory Imaging Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association's Radiology Branch, editorial board members of the *Journal of Practical Radiology*, and corresponding editorial board members of the *Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases*.
