Research Achievements Obtained research projects from the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau, the Clinical Special Project of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the General Program of the Natural Science Foundation, and the Medical-Engineering Interdisciplinary Project of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. Participated in drafting Chinese expert consensus in the field of pain. Research Directions Conducts research on the mechanisms of chronic pain, functional imaging of the brain and spinal cord, and the mechanisms and clinical research of spinal cord stimulation. Teaching and Training Responsible for teaching pain courses at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and the Shanghai Jiao Tong University-Ottawa Joint Medical School. Continuously promotes the teaching and training system for ultrasound-guided pain diagnosis and treatment techniques, and promotes the establishment of a specialized training system for pain medicine. Clinical Expertise Specializes in the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of chronic, complex, and difficult pain. Was among the first in China to carry out spinal cord stimulation for refractory neuropathic pain, and routinely performs intrathecal continuous analgesic pump implantation for moderate to severe cancer pain. Leads the team in treating a large number of patients with postherpetic neuralgia and diabetic neuropathic pain, and pioneers innovative minimally invasive interventional treatment techniques for trigeminal neuralgia and postoperative incisional pain. Has developed a series of characteristic diagnostic and treatment techniques in the field of spinal, joint, and musculoskeletal pain within the pain department.
