Associate Chief Physician, specializing in surgery and comprehensive treatment for urologic oncology, with a focus on complex pelvic and abdominal surgeries, particularly radical cystectomy with orthotopic neobladder, and various reconstructive repairs of urinary vasculature, ureters, and bladder. Has conducted multiple clinical studies on bladder-sparing approaches for bladder tumors. Has published dozens of papers (including in European Urology, Cancer Communication, etc.). Received the Outstanding Paper Award from the Chinese Journal of Urology in 2015. Contributed as a writer to the 2009 and 2013 editions of the CUA Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Bladder Tumors. Co-authored "Wu Jieping Urology." Co-translated "Campbell-Walsh Urology" (9th Edition). Drafted the Elsevier Clinical Pathway for Prostate Cancer (China Version). Drafted the Shanghai Urologic Surgery Medical Quality Control Standards. Participated in revising the 2023 edition of the National Health Commission's Standardized Medical Terminology and multiple other classic urologic works as well as national and provincial urologic management documents. As a senior clinical expert, has participated in multiple decision-making resolutions on urologic medical quality and safety in Shanghai and at the national level. Has long worked on the front line of clinical surgery, conducting surgical consultations and demonstrations at dozens of hospitals nationwide. The team completes over a thousand surgical procedures annually. Particularly skilled in minimally invasive surgery for various urologic tumors. Participated in completing the first robotic surgeries at both the East and West campuses of Renji Hospital. Performed the first single-port laparoscopic urologic surgery at our hospital. Currently routinely performs robotic orthotopic neobladder surgery, with operative time controllable within 6 hours and complication control levels reaching international standards. Performs single-port laparoscopic partial cystectomy, with the postoperative transumbilical scar being virtually invisible to the naked eye. Was among the first in China to carry out neoadjuvant chemotherapy for muscle-invasive bladder cancer and participated in establishing national standards and protocols for neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Currently collaborates with multiple research institutions on novel drug clinical studies for bladder-sparing treatment of bladder cancer. Conducts non-invasive detection research for bladder tumors and has applied for our hospital's first independently owned bladder urine methylation detection protocol. Performs painless cystoscopy at our hospital, sparing patients unnecessary suffering.
