Renji Hospital, Department of Spine Surgery, Chief Physician Specializes in minimally invasive and microsurgical procedures for intraspinal tumors (schwannomas, meningiomas, intramedullary tumors), thoracic ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL), spinal tumors, lumbar spine diseases (lumbar disc herniation with sciatica, lumbar spinal stenosis, lumbar spondylolisthesis, lumbar instability), cervical spine diseases (cervical spondylosis, cervical radiculopathy, cervical myelopathy, OPLL, cervical spinal stenosis), and spinal injuries (osteoporotic fractures, thoracolumbar fractures, cervical fractures, cervical hyperextension injury, ankylosing spondylitis-related spinal fractures), as well as minimally invasive orthopedic robot-assisted surgery. Member of the North American Spine Society (NASS), member of the Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO). Research interests include: intraspinal tumors, spinal tumors, cervical spondylosis, cervical disc herniation, cervical spinal stenosis, lumbar disc herniation, and lumbar spinal stenosis treated with minimally invasive and microsurgical procedures. As first author or corresponding author, has published over 20 SCI-indexed papers, including in the Journal of Spine (official journal of the American Spine Society) and Advanced Materials. Has led 1 international collaborative project and 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, and participated in multiple national and provincial/ministerial-level research projects. Co-edited 2 monographs and obtained 2 national invention patents. Recipient of the Longwood Translational Medicine China Initiative (LTMCI) Academic Excellence Award, the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation (MMAAPF) Translational Medicine Scholarship, the Military Medical Achievement Third-Class Award (first contributor), and the Military Third-Class Merit. Postdoctoral fellow in Neurosurgery at Brigham & Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School (2014-2016), under the mentorship of Dr. Chiocca (President of the Society for Neuro-Oncology, 2015-2017), conducting research on the diagnosis and treatment of spinal canal tumors and neuro-spinal tumors. Visiting scholar at the Spine Surgery Center, Keck Hospital, University of Southern California (2019), under the mentorship of Prof. Jeffrey C.
