Deputy Director of the Department of Ultrasound Medicine at Renji Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Chief Physician, Master's Supervisor, and Visiting Scholar at the University of Colorado, USA. Specializes in ultrasound diagnosis and application of new technologies for difficult cases of the heart, abdomen, thyroid, and breast; fine-needle aspiration biopsy of thyroid nodules; interventional minimally invasive ultrasound diagnosis and treatment of tumor lesions; and ultrasound diagnosis of male infertility.
Has long been engaged in clinical, scientific research, and teaching work in ultrasound diagnosis and treatment. As the leader of the department's sub-specialty team, was among the first in China to carry out advanced technologies in multiple professional fields such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound, elastography, three-dimensional ultrasound, acoustic radiation force impulse imaging, and interventional ultrasound, opened an expert clinic and specialty clinics for male infertility, contrast-enhanced ultrasound, and interventional ultrasound, and presides over more than 3,000 cases of interventional ultrasound diagnosis and treatment each year. Emphasizes the development of new minimally invasive interventional treatment methods, collaborated with the Liver Transplantation Department to carry out radiofrequency interventional therapy for early liver cancer under contrast-enhanced ultrasound localization guidance, and pioneered a new model of contrast-enhanced ultrasound plus radiofrequency ablation for minimally invasive treatment of small liver cancer. Overcomes technical difficulties and strives for the peaks of medicine, combines advanced technologies learned abroad with domestic clinical practice experience, and carries out new minimally invasive diagnostic and treatment technologies—fine-needle aspiration cytology of the thyroid/lymph nodes and laser ablation treatment of thyroid microcarcinoma, combined with genetic molecular testing, bringing the department's interventional diagnosis and treatment work to a new height. Has outstanding achievements in scientific research, mainly engaged in research on molecular targeted multimodal integrated diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, ultrasound diagnosis of male infertility, and artificial intelligence-assisted diagnosis of thyroid disease. Has presided over 6 national, provincial/ministerial, and bureau-level projects; has published more than 30 SCI papers, with the highest impact factor of 19.9. Has won the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress "Second Prize," Shanghai Medical Science and Technology "Third Prize," and one "Second Prize" and one "Third Prize" of the Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award, and has established domestically leading and internationally advanced ultrasound diagnostic evaluation and analysis methods in related fields. Emphasizes international and higher education institutional cooperation and exchange, and collaborated with the University of Buckingham in the United Kingdom and Shanghai Normal University to carry out medicine-engineering interdisciplinary research on artificial intelligence diagnosis of thyroid disease. Has been honored with the nomination award for "Benevolent Physician - Shanghai Outstanding Specialist Physician Award," Shanghai "Advanced Individual in Fighting the COVID-19 Pandemic," Shanghai Jiao Tong University "President's Award" Special Award, SJTU School of Medicine "Outstanding Young Teacher," SJTU School of Medicine "Outstanding Communist Party Member," "Jiulong Medical Outstanding Young Talent Award," Renji Hospital "March 8th Red Banner Pacesetter," "Advanced Individual in Teaching," and many other honorary titles. As chief editor, published the ultrasound diagnosis professional book "Ultrasound Dynamic Atlas of Male Infertility," Second Edition, and participated as a contributing editor in "Chinese Superficial Organ Ultrasound."
