Medical Career: Graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Department of Medicine, First Military Medical University in 1986. Obtained a master's degree in Neurology from First Military Medical University in 1989 and a Doctor of Engineering degree in Communication and Electronic Systems from South China University of Technology in 1996. He conducted research in cognitive neuroscience at the Postdoctoral Research Station of the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the University of California, Davis and Irvine. He won the Beijing Excellent Young Scientist Paper Award in 2000.

Research Profile: He has studied event-related brain potentials / electroencephalography since 1988. He proposed parametric modeling and interpolation methods for brain models, and realized fuzzy segmentation of spatiotemporal EEG patterns, statistical parametric mapping, and visualization of brain oscillation networks. He has presided over two National Natural Science Foundation projects and one China Postdoctoral Science Foundation project. As the first or corresponding author, he has published more than 40 papers and monographs (including 4 SCI journal papers). He participated in compiling *Fundamentals of Cognitive Neuroscience* (People's Education Press, 2008). He serves as a reviewer for the international SCI journals *Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience*, *Brain Research*, and *Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine*. He is a postgraduate supervisor.
