Medical Career: Currently serves as Director of the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology and Doctoral Supervisor. He has been engaged in frontline medical practice, teaching and scientific research for 29 years. He previously worked in multiple specialties including gastroenterology, neurology, nephrology and rheumatology and immunology for many years, accumulating extensive clinical experience. From 2005 to 2006, he conducted research as a visiting scholar at Harvard Medical School in the United States.

Research Achievements: He is currently a review expert for the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has won 1 Third Prize of the Military Science and Technology Progress Award, undertaken 2 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 Guangdong Provincial Key Research Team Project for Science and Technology Development, 3 Guangdong Provincial Research Foundation projects and 1 Guangzhou Municipal Research Foundation project. He has co-authored 4 monographs and published more than 30 papers. During his research at Harvard Medical School, seven of his research papers were published in internationally renowned medical journals, two of which appeared in the prestigious authoritative journals Nature Medicine and Nature Cell Biology respectively. He was awarded the Certificate of Identification for the First Batch of High-Level Overseas Returnee Talents in Guangdong Province.
