Qiu Lisheng, Chief Physician, Doctor of Medicine, Master's Supervisor, Director of the Third Ward of Cardiothoracic Surgery He has long been engaged in surgical treatment of complex and critical congenital heart diseases in neonates and infants, including procedures such as complete transposition of the great arteries, pulmonary atresia, total anomalous pulmonary venous connection, complete atrioventricular septal defect, and interrupted aortic arch. He also performs surgical diagnosis and treatment of pediatric cardiac tumors, lung and mediastinal tumors, and pectus excavatum. He performs over 250 surgeries annually, with complex and critical cases accounting for 50%. He graduated from Shanghai Second Medical University in 1990 with a postgraduate degree, completed a short-term advanced training program at Boston Children's Hospital in the United States in 2003, and obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2008. He currently serves as a member of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Group of the Pediatric Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association. His main research directions include computational simulation of hemodynamics in staged surgery for functional single ventricle, as well as the mechanisms of ischemia-reperfusion injury and myocardial protection methods after cardiac surgery. The project "Establishment and Application of Perinatal Assessment System and Key Technologies for Critical Congenital Heart Disease in Neonates" won the First Prize of the 2011 Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award and the 7th Soong Ching Ling Pediatric Medicine Award in 2012 (as the second completer). He has published over 30 papers as the first author in domestic core journals and more than 10 papers as the first author or corresponding author in international SCI journals.
