The Department of Ultrasound is a key department of the hospital, distributed across the 2nd floor of the Medical Technology Building (outpatient examination area), between Zones 4C and 4D of the Inpatient Building (inpatient examination area), Zone 1C of the Inpatient Building (echocardiography examination area), and the Emergency Department (emergency patient examination area). Currently, the department has a total of 31 staff members, including 6 chief physicians, 1 associate chief physician, 4 attending physicians, 5 resident physicians, 1 nurse, and 14 data entry personnel. It boasts several renowned domestic experts in ultrasound medicine, with excellent medical standards and comprehensive development in clinical care, teaching, and research. It is currently the chair institution of the Craniocerebral and Cervical Vascular Ultrasound Professional Committee of the Chinese Ultrasound Engineering Society and the Ultrasound Professional Committee of the Chinese Non-Governmental Medical Institutions Association. The Department of Ultrasound is equipped with advanced ultrasound equipment, all of which are high-end products from various ultrasound manufacturers, including Philips IE Elite, Philips IU Elite, Philips CX50, GE Logiq E20 and E9, Esaote Mylab Twice, and Mindray Resona RT9 and 7s color ultrasound systems. The department comprehensively carries out various routine and interventional ultrasound services: routine ultrasound examinations of the heart, blood vessels, abdomen, urogenital system, superficial organs (breast, thyroid, lymph nodes, superficial tissues, etc.), musculoskeletal system, as well as endocavitary ultrasound examinations such as transrectal ultrasound; interventional ultrasound procedures including ultrasound-guided puncture biopsy, ultrasound-guided puncture catheter drainage, and ultrasound-guided cyst puncture and treatment.
